Partnerships Office in Cameroon
Hasina Rakotondrazafy is the Partnerships Officer in the Resident Coordinator’s Office in Cameroon. In consultation with the UN country team, Hasina spearheaded the drafting of the UN country team’s Partnerships and Resource Mobilisation Strategy. This document facilitated a more coordinated engagement within the UN with various partners in the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (2022-2026) Hasina is particularly proud that it brought the largest private sector platform in Cameroon on board to join the force in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the introduction of sustainable business models, social impact investment, and joint advocacies on the SDGs.
Hasina also helped establish strong partnerships with the African Development Bank, the European Investment Bank, and the European Union. In particular, she facilitated the UN country team to be listed as an implementing partner in the new country strategy of the African Development Bank. This paved the way for substantive collaboration between the UN and these development banks in agriculture, climate and environment, health, and innovative financing, among others.
Under the guidance of the Resident Coordinator, Hasina works with the Government to improve national mechanisms to coordinate development cooperation among various stakeholders. Hasina was instrumental in bringing good practices from other countries to hold a multi-stakeholder consultation to explore ideas in designing a country-level aid coordination mechanism.
