Partnerships Officer in El Salvador
Meet Silvia Vides, the Partnerships Officer in the Resident Coordinator’s Office in El Salvador. She led multi-stakeholder consultation processes for the formulation of the Common Country Analysis (CCA) and the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (2022-2026), as well as for the Government’s 2nd Voluntary National Report that the UN is supporting. The consultations Silvia designed brought new insights on the needs of vulnerable populations including persons with disabilities, and reinforced the “Leave No One Behind” principles across the Cooperation Framework, and helped create a stand-alone Cooperation Framework outcome on gender equality.
To take stock of the status of the joint implementation of the Cooperation Framework for the first year and improve the way the UN country team implements the Cooperation Framework, Silvia helped the Resident Coordinator organize a high-level Steering Committee event to identify and showcase best practices and lessons learned from more than 130 UN joint projects and programmes, focusing on key priority areas such as Gender, Youth, Transitional Justice, Rural Development and Climate Change. To further harmonise the partnership and resource mobilization efforts across the UN entities to achieve the ambitious objectives set in the Cooperation Framework, Silvia will also design the Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Strategy for the UN country team.
